Maintaining the trance is extremely delicate, and it can only be maintained for very short periods of time. High mastery helps, but even the strongest minds can only concentrate for brief moments. Actually unleashing the spell is even harder, any distractions can seriously affect the casting. The best way to complete the trance without distractions is to stay away from other players, as any distracting presence can seriously affect the outcome. Being in trance in the presence of bigger opponents may be dangerous, as you are not concentrating fully at the combat. Unleashing powerful blasts from the trance is taxing, causing the next trance to take more time to establish.

== Cast Time ==
Every successful cast of Holding Pattern will increase the cast time of subsequence casts.
It eventually resets on an unknown condition (kill? number of attacks? time?)

== Good To Know ==
Outside of the normal factors for successfull spell casting - Holding Pattern's success is also affected by the emount of players in the room (more players = less chance of you maintaining the trance).

After a certain level of mastery you can move between rooms while maintaining the trance.
