Members of the Brotherhood of Sorcery are mages. However, simply being member of the guild barely gives the status of an mage; when referring to a mage, one usually means a full member of the brotherhood with at least one full subguild, thus able to cast at least one type of damage spells. Usually mages with at least 3 to 4 types are what are asked on wanted channel.
