As you look through the glass you feel as if it improves your attention to detail. It seems to be used to improve ones eye-sight and you wonder if a gnome made this item since it actually seems to work correctly. The thin rim of gold is actually a dial that can be rotated into different positions. There are a total of five different positions that it can be set to. Use 'turn monocle dial to #'. The dial is currently set to position 1
