It uses 30 endurance points.
Many doors, chests and other closed containers are kept secure from
the casual onlooker by locking devices. This would be a fairly safe system
to keep posessions safe, except that not every attempt to break into
things is a casual attempt. If a lock is able to be opened and closed by
the owner, chances are, someone else is able, with tools and expertise,
open the lock themselves. This ability is the main reason why not only
locks, but guards are needed anywhere there is any sensitive items that 
require protection.
