second or two longer to line up a solid hit on a known weak spot. This has
multiple benefits. One is that the overall damage is increased. Another is
that a special weapon, one the target is vulnerable to, is not required. Most
importantly, a hit delivered at the right time can distract the target with
the force of the blow, disrupting its concentration.
