Bolt of knowledge is a folklorist spell that can be studied beginning at guild level 20.

The spell does additional damage to targets if you have performed an autopsy on a creature of the same race since the last reboot. The message Your recent study on anatomy pays off! indicates that the spell received this damage bonus.

Bolt of knowledge is a channeled spell. After hitting an enemy, you will begin channeling the spell. Each round while channeling, there is a chance to extend the duration of the channel for another round, costing 25sp and dealing additional damage to the target. Each turn there is a chance that the channel will break, depending on the mob's psi resistance and possibly other factors. Channeling can only succeed if you are in the second or third row of a party and attempting any other skill or spell will interrupt channeling.
