The Skeleton race

General description:

Because of their appearance, Skeletonius Sapiens is often mixed up with their more common cousin Skeletonius Maleficus. The main difference between the two is that Skeletonius Sapiens is fully sentient and usually benevolent in nature while Skeletonius Maleficus is not. Because Skeletonius Sapiens if often mixed up with their bloodthirsty cousin, Skeletonius Sapiens as a species tends to be careful when they are at near proximity of their fleshed cousins, who tend to attack them on sight because they mix them up with Skeletonius Maleficus. Most of the Skeletonius Sapiens come from the hidden capitol of the Skeletonius Sapiens simply known as the Maosoleum. It is said that the ruling Council of Mausoleum is the only one who knows the sacred rites which allows creation of Skeletonius Sapiens, but some dark rumours tell that there exists a secret organization of Skeletonius Sapiens which is so fed up with the violent manners of the fleshed ones that they have begun liberating the skeletons still being held captive by the flesh. If they indeed can create Skeletonius Sapiens remains to be seen. Existence of this secret organization is denied by the Council as is the existence of the Greater Rite of Rebirth, which is rumored to awaken Skeleton Sapiens to greater knowledge and awareness.
