Early on during the first great wars between the two sides, good and evil, those who fought on the side of good, learned an effective way to use magic to attack their evil foes. While neither side won the first battles, this technique was handed down through the years, in hope that one day, the side of good would be victorious. The spell refered to as 'dispel evil' takes a part of the goodness of the caster, and aims it at the evil target. The sudden introduction of good energy to the target eats away at its evil being, causing great damage. The better aligned the caster, the more powerful his spell will be. The more evilly aligned targets also suffer greater under the power of this spell.
