| Before more complex maneuvers may be learned, it is important to know the basics. In the case of legionaries, it usually means long days of shield combat training or simply known as 'manner of lordliness'. When the manner or lordliness is mastered, more difficult maneuvers may be performed. One of those more challenging maneuvers is blindsided assault. Legionaries of Kharim use shield to hide their sword-hand's position from view and thus blocking vision of the enemy, thus making them guess for the next strike. When the combat is rapid, every single second may provide a crucial advantage. Blindsided assault is a derivative technique of tumbling attack which means that proficiency in tumbling attack will also help when performing blindsided assaults.
