| While a legionary of Kharim never shows mercy to the enemy, it is possible that someone would believe they might. The enemy who is surrounded and running out of choices is desperate to cling on any lifeline that is offered regardless of how improbably it might sound. On the other hand, the enemy who realizes that the life is coming to an end always fights more fiercely than anyone else. For the same reason, legionaries of Kharim sometimes mislead their enemy into believing that their surrendering might ultimately save their lives, before they choose to slay those who wallow in despair.
