Magic has always been cherished for its abilities to protect items. One of the more ironic uses of this power, is the granting of magical protection to various forms of armour, which is designed to afford protection of its own, on the wearer. Armour through day to day use, is subject to much abuse and wear. Magical protection is usually one of the best ways one can preserve the life span of his armour. It is a lot cheaper than buying a new shiny platemail every week.
