Time, the elements, and even results of human actions, accidental or purposeful, can take their toll on the physical state of many items, tables, chairs, statues, anything that one assigns any value to. If something does befall your favorite vase, you only need to take it to the local repair guild. They are always happy, for a small fee of course, to take your item and return it as good as new. Many who work in these guilds, are training to become armourers and blacksmiths. Occasionally, there will be a free-lancer who also lives off his work repairing items.
