Sometimes the word is mightier than the sword. There are situations in in history that prove this trite saying correct. When the enemy cannot be slain by shedding blood, it is time to act differently. Common to all great rulers and leaders is that while they are excellent combatants, they are also superb orators. Their ability to speak and to manipulate masses is something that makes them powerful. Swashbuckling is a coined term to describe noisy and boastful swordsmen. It is based on a combat style using a sword and a buckler, thus swashing and making noise with the buckler. Nevertheless, such boastful emanation and skills in oratory attract certain people to join for the cause. Being part of a larger group gives people confidence and false sense of security. A skilled swashbuckler is able to make people agitated and uses peer pressure to force crowds into working the way he or she intended.
