The legend tells that the sune-ate belongs to Astur, who was the acting warmonger during the first years of the sovereign state. He was describeb merciless and brave and always led his army to war himself standing in the front line. He was armed with a flail and wore no shirt nor armour. The only piece of equipment he wore was his sune-ate to protect his left leg.
