Jewels and precious gems have always been one of the most sought after types of wealth. Not only are they valuable because of their looks, finding high quality gems is very rare, because working them into their finished shape is a very difficult art to learn. Knowing how to work and cut gems takes a lifetime to learn. More times then not, ore is flawed during workmanship, drastically reducing the value of the finished item. A master gem cutter can take even flawed ore and stone, and turn them into master pieces. Exceptional use of this skill requires both a steady hand and a keen eye for details.
The required tools are as follows:
Blacksmithing: a hammer and some water to cool the forged item.
Carpentry: a hammer or saw.
Gem cutting: a hammer or chisel and a magnifying glass to find flaws.
Glassblowing: a glass blowing tube and tongs.
Masonry: a hammer, pick, chisel or shovel.
Sewing: a needle.
Sculpture: a hammer or chisel
